Finding the right music

The way i'm going to source for my non-copyright music will be over a website called www.unsigned.com. This page allows me to seek music that is non-copyright, so i would be able to just send an email to my contact in order to ask them if i can have the authorisation to use the artists music.

The information i will give about myself is my name and surname. What school i'm from and my age, also my email and number if they wish to contact me for any information. I'd explain to the artist that i'm doing my A2 music video and that i'm asking for their consent if i'm allowed to use their video song for me and my group to use.

My name is Gabriele Navickaite and i'm currently in year 13 working on my A2 music video. I have listened to many of your music tracks and iv'e enjoyed all your music and they've inspired me to create my own music video using your song. I'm asking for your permission if i may use your music for my music video. This would be a great opportunity for me and if you could reply back to this email of your decision, thank you.

What is copyright?

Means that the person has no legal right to copy from any literary, artistic or musical artist. The government make sure to restrict that no people steal any music from authors since, they have no authorisation. Copyright is important to the creators like writer and artists that own right, because it provides them with legal rights of ownership of their work.
In order to actually use the authors song or any other form of art, you need to get their permission first.
Copyright is important because no artist wants their work to be stolen from other users. Overall, copyright means that the artists work is protected and if anybody else were to use that work for business purposes without permission and claimed that it was theirs, it'd violate their rights over the creation.

My favourite music video

This video and song is one of my favourite choices because it's a romantic piece of music, a strong love between a couple who seem distant but will do anything to stay together. It has plenty of effects that attract me to the music video and makes me want to watch on because it's in black and white, and both people express their love for one another even though, her man is a monster, she'll still love him till the end. It has a range of instruments such as; a guitar and drum. It holds the audiences attention because of the perfect lip singing and the fact that its a love story.

The Brief

My task is to produce a music 'promo' video, up to 5 minutes and either working on my own or in a group of up to four members. I also, need to produce a 'digipak' (six panels) for its release on CD and a magazine advertisement for the digipak. In addition to my 'promo' video i will have to produce a critical evaluation.
