Famous album art analysis

As we can see here, Taylor Swift uses the same black text on her album, which makes it easier for the audience to read because there's not a mixture of different texts, especially for the older people who find it harder to read. She has also, related her pictures to the genre of her music, like the guitar picture for the CD and her holding a guitar. This means that she sings country music and the people who are into country music or music that involves an acoustic guitar will therefore, buy this album and listen to it. The front cover is very different to the other pictures because it's in black and white and you can't really see Taylor Swift so, perhaps it's like a mystery and people should buy the album to see what her songs are all about. We can see that there's a mixture of different colours, like black and white but mostly there are just calm colours, they're not too bright, just neutral, which will not hurt the audiences eyes. Therefore, the black text stands out with these colours which, will attract an audience.

Synergy

Synergy is where two or ore organisations join together in order to produce something else.
It works well for both films and TV programmes.
There is synergy between the film Skyfall and the artist Adele. This is a good thing because the film is promoting Adele and perhaps her newest album, since she's successful people would buy it. Though, at the same time Adele is also promoting the film because as she sings it, you have the video playing in the background, and if people see this they will want to watch the film.

3nd favorite video in terms of cinematography, mise-en-scene and editing.

This is one of my favorite videos when it comes to the editing stage because there are effects like colorful bubbles over the singers which brings emotion to the audience because the songs fun as well.

Also, other effects are used where there are boxes split up in half or more to show the singers faces and what they're doing.

Furthermore, some scenes in the video have different colours, where some shots are in black and white or in color. Some scenes are also, fun to watch because they're fast forwarded and not slow so, it's not boring to watch.

There's plenty of jump cut scenes where they go to the singer then to their faces and back to one of the singers.

There's even text included so it's fun for the audience to start singing the song and learning the lyrics.

When it comes to the cinematography. there are low angles to show the two singers are superior in these videos since, the song is about guys packing their bags and how the girls don't care. There's also, plenty of close up shots of the two singers to show their happy and excited face expressions which show they're having fun. Tilts are used on the normal people in the clubs to show that they're dancing and having fun.

There are medium shots used to show the girls in the car and how they're looking out the window, therefore, showing in what surrounding they're in and what they're doing. Finally, there are point of view shots of the two singers being the DJ and shots of the people dancing to show that they're having a good time and enjoying themselves.

With the mise-en-scene everyone is dressed in bright colours which means they're here to have fun and enjoy themselves. Though, the singers also, go to many places such as hotels, buses, streets and clubs which, make the video look fun because we the audience get to see all these other places and won't get bored.

2nd favorite video in terms of cinematography, mise-en-scene and editing.

When it comes to editing i enjoyed this video because there are plenty of jump cuts of her singing and then her doing other things. Therefore, it shows us a lot of things in a short time which is interesting to see.

There are also, interesting shots where she looks normal in some and then in others it looks as if she's on television and others are in different colours.

With the mise-en-scene she's always dressed up in different outfits which makes the video look good because then it's not boring since, she always has something new to show in every shot.

Furthermore, the house looks very expensive and antique since, she's a Primadonna she's vain and likes to show off her expensive place.

When it comes to cinematography, there are loads of close up shots of her face and then we get extreme close up of her eyes and lips to show her beauty and what a good looking Primadonna girl she is.

We also, get long shots to show the audience her and what scenery she's in. So when she's walking around the chandelier which is much bigger than her it shows that she's in an expensive scenery and her taste is very good.

She's also, always filmed in the middle of every shot, where her face at least is always placed in the middle. This shows that we the audience should be focused only on her and not what's around her because she's the important one.

1st favorite video in terms of cinematography, mise-en-scene and editing.

This is my 1st favorite video because i love how the whole video is edited in black and white and the fact that the video is set on the beach and Beyonce has the ability to dance in the water. I like this mise-en-scene because she looks better when she's wet and the way she's dressed; in a bikini and a thin layer of a black dress shows of her curves. There's also, a scene where she comes out of some smoke which is a good shot of her that makes her look sexy. She looks incredibly good when she stats dancing and the light is always on her face, which means that shes the main attraction to the audience.

I also, love the light on her face in this scene, as it shows that everything should be concentrated on her face along with her body because it shows her beautiful features.

When it comes to cinematography I love how the camera always tilts up and down her body to show it off which has an effect on the boys especially because she has a good body to show for especially after her baby born. There's also, a tracking shot of her body when she's on the sand on all fours and and we get a lot of close ups of her face when she's singing. That way we see her facial expressions whether their serious or whether she's trying to look sexual in a way.

The editing is done very well because we see a lot of dissolves of Beyonce either dancing and then a dissolve of her touching her neck or body. Since, she's doing that in a sexual effect it has a huge effect on the male audience because Laura Mulvey would say it's to do with the "male gaze." The dissolves are also, slow so we get to see her body and then a slow dissolve onto another part of her body so, the audience get to see it for longer especially if she was moving in the last shot before the dissolve.
